About me.
We are all told, “live your life to the fullest”; I am here to do just that. Wandering Hygienist serves as a vessel to project my passions, and clue in my loyal readers as to what inspires me in this crazy world. So, sit back, relax, and read on.
With over sixteen years in dentistry, I have had the amazing opportunity to work in a variety of dental settings including public health, corporate, and private practices. Currently, I am living in Atlanta, Georgia, where I practice as a licensed dental hygienist. I am married with four fur kids. We enjoy traveling, volunteering, camping, cooking, reading, learning, gardening, and photography. I look forward to getting to know you all by sharing thoughts, ideas, and tips for in and out of the operatory. <3
Vision Statement
My goal is to provide a network of dental hygienists that strive to provide outstanding dental hygiene services to our local dental offices and patients. We are looking forward to establishing a support system for local hygienists, in hopes of helping to eliminate professional burnout. By creating a flexible work schedule our hygienists will be happier, healthier, and live a life full of balance and satisfaction.
How It All Started
It all started in Statesboro Georgia. I completed my dental assisting and expanded duties certification in 2006. I worked as a dental assistant for over a decade before returning to college at Georgia State University. I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from many amazing hygienists and dentists during my career. I enjoy absorbing this knowledge and integrating it into my patient care. I chose to leave my full-time job and began temping last year. Temping offers flexibility in my schedule so that I have time to pursue other passions.
